Computer Hardware Technician
Job Summary
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer
hardware, and peripherals. Compiles summaries of weekly activity, stock
levels, and work in progress. Technician will be responsible for retail
sales as well as computer repair.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware or software
systems.
• Performs hardware repairs and warranty service.
• Diagnose and identify hardware problems and address software
issues.
• Maintains and updates service log on a regular basis.
• Maintains all records pertaining to service as well as all shipping
and receiving documentation.
• Maintains inventory with weekly reporting.
• Familiarizes and maintains established parts list.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures
within the particular field.
• Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines
to perform the functions of the job.
• General knowledge of electronics.
• Ability to meet deadlines and quotas as established.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed
with objectives without supervision.
• Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
Credentials and Experience
• Ideal candidate will have an A+ certification. (Not Required)
• Related experience or equivalent combination of education and
experience preferred.
Special Requirements
Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by Supervisor.
